KESHER THERAPY
Connection to Self
So many of us learn to place ourselves somewhere near the bottom of the priority list.
We become shaped by the expectations of family, relationships, culture, religion and society — ideas about who we should be, how we should behave, what we should want and what it means to be a good woman, partner, daughter, mother or person.
Somewhere along the way, it can become easy to lose connection with parts of ourselves.
We may disconnect from our bodies and sexuality, silence our needs, lose sight of our identity, or find ourselves struggling to feel truly seen and understood within our relationships. Sometimes we simply reach a point where the life we are living no longer feels quite like our own.
My own path to becoming a therapist began through that experience of reconnection.
I had spent years navigating a complicated relationship with sexuality and intimacy, shaped by religious conditioning, difficult early experiences and a marriage in which I had gradually lost touch with parts of myself. Being supported through my own journey of sexual and sensual self-discovery opened the door to something much bigger — understanding myself, reclaiming my identity and discovering what it meant to feel genuinely connected to my body, my sexuality and ultimately, myself.
That experience changed the direction of my life.
After more than two decades in education, I returned to university to study human sexuality, sexual health and psychosexual therapy, later expanding my work through counselling, relationship therapy and holistic approaches to intimacy and embodiment.
Awakening Intimacy grew from that first chapter of my journey. Kesher Therapy is its natural evolution.
Kesher (קשר) is a Hebrew word meaning connection, relationship or bond. It reflects what I have come to understand through both my personal journey and my work with clients: our sexuality, relationships, emotional wellbeing, identity and relationship with our bodies do not exist independently of one another. They are deeply interconnected.
Today, my work extends beyond sexuality and intimacy to support women, individuals and couples navigating relationships, identity, life transitions, emotional wellbeing, communication, sexual health and the sometimes complicated experience of simply being human.
My approach remains warm, curious, holistic and deeply individual. I draw upon evidence-based therapeutic approaches alongside my specialist knowledge of sexuality and relationships, recognising that there is no single way to heal, grow or create meaningful change.
Because ultimately, Kesher is about connection.
Connection with yourself.
Connection with your body.
Connection with your sexuality.
Connection with the people you love.
And sometimes, finding our way back to connection changes everything.
